GOAL
Scottie and I began working together in May 2021 during his pre-draft process. I was working with the head trainer for the 8 week training process that BDA & WME sports organizes each year, which in turn granted me the opportunity to film all of Scottie workouts and build a friendship with him. After a successful first NBA season, Scottie won the 2022 Rookie of the Year award. During the off-season, Scottie reached out to me with the vision of boosting his social media content / online presence. I suggested to Scottie we create a YouTube channel for him as well, a place where he could share what the life of an NBA player looks like off the court. He loved the concept and from there I flew out to Vegas to meet him for NBA Summer League and we quickly got to work.
Process
Scottie and I work on a consistent basis, capturing important moments in his life for him to share with his fans. I spent the first 3 months of the 2022-23 NBA season living with Scottie in Toronto to capture as much content as possible for us to utilize in the future. My work with Scottie commonly includes private workout videos, behind-the-scenes on his commercial/advertisement shoots, pre-game footage, lifestyle & in-game photographs, managing his YouTube & TikTok pages, creative direction on his social's and much more.
OUTCOME
After releasing just 3 episodes to his YouTube channel we have already grown the page to over 40k subscribers. Scottie continues to use my photographs and videos to help promote himself on his social media pages. We have hours upon hours of footage in the vault to be released in the future and I can't wait to share all the great creative content we have releasing in the future.
